Progressions Cello Instructor Viktor Brusubardis began studying the cello at the age of eleven. He joined the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra in 2007. During his time at MYSO he was a winner of the String Orchestra and Sinfonia concerto competitions and was honorable mention in both the Philharmonia and Senior Symphony competitions. Viktor was named honorable mention in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Auditions in 2013 and was a semi-finalist in 2014. In addition, in 2014, he was winner of the Wisconsin Philharmonic Shining Stars Concerto Competition. In 2017, Viktor was a winner in the UW- Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, and in 2018, the winner of the Concord Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition. He has studied with Janet Marshall, Adrien Zitoun, and Dr. Stefan Kartman. A recipient of the UW-Madison Summer Music Clinic 4-year tuition scholarship, Viktor received his degree in cello performance from the UW-Milwaukee in 2018.
