Emily Lukasek, Development & Marketing Director, has played key roles in the strategic expansion of development and marketing objectives since 2011.
Mrs. Lukasek is a 2007 honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in Communication Arts and Sociology. While at UW she Co-Founded and Co-Directed the 10,000 Hours Show of Dane County, a non-profit organization that encourages youth and college-age students to regularly participate in local community service initiatives.
After working for von Briesen & Roper, s.c. as Legal Assistant and Receptionist, she returned to the non-profit sector and completed a year of AmeriCorps service with Rebuilding Together Aurora (RTA), a non-profit organization that provides home rehabilitation assistance to low-income homeowners in Aurora, Illinois. Upon completion of her service term, she became the organization’s first Executive Director, serving in that role for two years.
During her time at RTA, Mrs. Lukasek led significant growth in the organization’s staff, budget and programs. Mrs. Lukasek remains involved in the community, having been an active member of the Jaycees and Kiwanis. She recently completed a four-year term as International Board Member and US President of the Brittingham Viking Organization, an international exchange program that sponsors students’ academic study in Scandinavia and UW-Madison.
Locally, she has been a Council Member of Next Generation UPAF and is a member of Milwaukee’s Young Non-Profit Professionals Network.
