New York-based string quartet Brooklyn Rider is becoming increasingly known for its creative programming and exciting collaborations, which illuminate music in new ways and invite audiences into a shared experience.  This multi-faceted group embraces a wide and inclusive range of music; they are as willing to explore the world of Haydn as much as the music of our time.  Born out of a desire to use the rich medium of the string quartet as a vehicle for borderless communication, the musicians of Brooklyn Rider have enjoyed diverse careers in music that have intersected with each other over many years, and all are veterans of Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Project.  Click here to be linked to Brooklyn Rider's website.

Special Parking Info for Monday, February 15th

This will be a busy night at MYAC.  If you are dropping off your young musician, please be sure to drop off on Walnut Street (NOT in the parking lot).  See below for parking options around MYAC.

There are plenty of parking options when visiting the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center.  Parking is available in the MYAC parking lot and on the City streets around the building.  After school hours (after 3 p.m.), we have access to the Milwaukee Public School parking lot at the southwest corner of Galena and 4th Street, and the Schlitz Brewery parking garage, just east of MYAC on Walnut/Pleasant after 6 p.m.  There is NO parking in the alley (Galena Street) between MYAC and Golda Meier School.  Violators will be ticketed or towed.

Please observe all parking signs and markings in the lot.  Staff parking spots are clearly marked and should not be used within the stated hours.  Those who violate these parking restrictions are subject to towing of their vehicle at their expense.  Even if you are just stopping in for a moment, please observe these parking restrictions.
